We conducted a test on an EMD locomotive manufactured in 1957, the engine is a EMD 567C equipped with a two-stroke engine and normally aspirated (with blower), 12-cylinder, 112 liters of displacement that has 1.300HP power. During the test we achieved a reduction in fuel consumption of 11.5% from the baseline initially raised implying a significant potential savings for an engine that usually consumes 140 liters per hour under normal operations conditions.
